The Spring Circle – Risk full aliveness in the world…

“But this I do know: the only regret
is not loving the world
in all the painfully honest ways
that only you can love it.”

FROM MY POEM ‘A NEW SPRING’

There comes a moment when what’s new and precious in you longs to make itself known in the world…

Which can be terrifying.

Especially if you’ve been hurt before—loss, failure, heartbreak…

It feels much safer keep your longing close, a secret only you can visit, a seedling safe on the windowsill of your heart.

But spring invites you to risk it…

To take that tender new life you’ve been protecting, and to make it visible in the world. Because that’s the only way to experience the fullness of your life.

But how do you know when the timing is right?

Or which risk you’re ready to take?

Join me for a group contemplative practice where you’ll tap into your inner discernment for taking wise, wholehearted risks.

You’re invited to…

The Spring Circle

David Whyte says we hesitate to make ourselves visible in the world because “…when you can be seen, you can be touched; and when you can be touched, you can be hurt.”

But making yourself seen and known is an essential step towards the fullness of belonging we all long for.

The Spring Circle is a space of deep listening and discernment.

Over the course of 90 minutes you’ll be…

  • Guided through practices to attune with your body, your emotions, and your deep inner knowing of what in you is ready (and what’s not yet ready) to be risked
  • Offered prompts to speak what’s true in your experience of vulnerability, risk, and belonging
  • Witness to others in the circle as they do the same

From this warm ground of togetherness, you’ll step back out into the world with clarity and courage to take the risks your soul is longing to take.

Meet your circle guide…

James A. Pearson

I’m James 👋

For the past five years I helped lead a Council group here in Tacoma, Washington.

That’s where I honed many of the practices we’ll use in this circle.

I’m also a certified coach and practice poetry, writing, and coaching around the dynamic of “belonging into the world” — how to bring more of your wholeness into lifegiving relationship with the world.

I’d love for you to join me in this Spring Circle to connect with what’s longing to be risked in you.

Here are the details:

  • 🗓 Sunday, 21st May at 10am Pacific time
  • ⏳ 90 minutes of guided practice
  • 🧑‍💻 On Zoom – join from anywhere

Life’s busy. It’s rare to have time set aside when your only goal is to tune into what’s longing to grow in you.
